Introduction
Hi all!
The battle in the power supply market rages on, with a plethora of models from all manufacturers. Rare are, however, those who dare to offer products that are out of the ordinary.
Seasonic, which we no longer present and which is also an OEM of many manufacturers on the market, is now back in charge with a power supply that should interest aficionados of silence, the Prime Titanium Fanless 600! The program, as you might have guessed from its name, is a power supply devoid of any active ventilation, so a sound level which should logically not exceed the ambient sound level. The brand’s latest fanless model was released in 2013, so it took 5 years to get something to eat.
The main concern with this type of product is usually the price, here when we combine Seasonic and Fanless the bill soars to around € 200 (recommended price) which will clearly put off most. However, you should know that this type of product is intended for a niche, more “classic” power supplies will do the job perfectly well for 99% of users.
Unpacking and bundle
The box is identical to what we find on other Prime power supplies of the brand. A box mixing black and silver quite bling bling without any marketing on the front face, with only the name of the model, the logo of the 80Plus Titanium certification as well as a mention of the 12 year warranty!
At the back a small listing of the strengths of the beast, the 80Plus Titanium certification, the fanless design and so on and the best. You can also still have a small preview of the block, just to see what you buy.
On the side a table of technical characteristics as well as the number of connectors and the power distribution.
Inside the box we find a now well known vision, a small bag containing the manuals and the various accessories which rests on a thick foam which protects the food. Modular cables are in a bag.
Besides the power supply of course and its modular cables (as well as a power cord) Seasonic offers us a rather complete bundle for a power supply. The manual is of course present as well as a leaflet detailing the installation there is a handle of plastic cable ties as well as some scratches which will prove to be very practical. In addition to that 2 stickers are part of the party for those who want to do like at the end of the 90s when the side panels with window did not exist 😀
