The Core i5-12600K beats the i5-11600K by 50%, the new king of the mid-range?

Today the new version 1.98 of CPU-Z with full support to Alder Lake was released, and the first results of its performance test with these processors have already started to appear. In this case, the leaked test corresponds to the Core i5-12600K, which aims to be the new king of the mid-range with great performance and a fairly affordable price.

First of all, this CPU-Z screenshot confirms that the i5-12600K will feature 6 + 4 cores, indicating that it will have 6 high-performance cores plus 4 high-efficiency cores, for a total of 10 cores and 16 threads. It will also have a 4.9GHz single-core boost frequency on its high-performance cores, as the rumors indicated.

Going to the multi-core test result, this CPU reached 7156 points, when an i5-11600K hovers around 4750 points, surpassing it by 50%, which is an incredible inter-generational improvement. In addition, in the single-core test it reached 760 points, compared to the 635 that the i5-11600K usually reaches, marking an improvement of almost 20%.

The Core i5-12600K will be announced tomorrow alongside the Core i7-12700K and Core i9-12900K during the Intel Innovation event, where the Alder Lake platforms for both desktop and laptop will be unveiled. Stay up to date with HD Tecnología to know all its news.
