The expert spoke about new prospects for Russian IT companies

The global trend of entering the cloud gives new prospects for Russian companies, said the architect of the Big Data Association Kirill Pruntov during the Moscow-Vladivostok video bridge, dedicated to the release of the CSR report “Assessing the Potential of Russian Cybersecurity Solutions on the International Market” within the framework of the EEF-2022.

“The global trend of entering the cloud gives new prospects for Russian companies. Mail, Sberbank and VK are companies with vast experience in protecting cloud data,” the correspondent of the PRIME agency quotes the expert.

Pruntov noted the high quality of Russian developers in the field of data protection. According to him, Russia can help other countries create a culture of introducing protection systems into their infrastructure.

According to experts in the Center for Strategic Research, in the next five years the cybersecurity market in the Russian Federation will increase by 2.5 times – from 185.9 billion rubles to 469 billion. At the same time, it is expected that from 2023 the demand for products of Russian vendors will begin to grow, which will enable this part of the market to grow from 113 billion rubles in 2021 to 446 billion in 2026.

According to analysts, the position of regulators and authorities has a great influence on the cybersecurity market, including on the issue of import substitution of technical solutions related to ensuring the safe operation of critical information infrastructure facilities.
