According to a study by the CSA institute for EY, Ekino, Global P.O.S and SmartChain, almost one in five French people are ready to pay for their purchases with cryptocurrency.
Conducted with a representative sample of 1,010 French people aged 18 and over, the study shared with Cryptonaute demonstrates without much surprise that the contactless payment card is now the preferred means of payment for the French.
Although 19% of respondents plan to carry out payments in cryptocurrencies in the future, only 5% have so far taken the plunge, placing this last good payment method with the payment by social networks.
For 79% of respondents, the crypto-currencies are rather a “fashion phenomenon” or a “gadget for geeks” (72%). Less than a third consider it to be a "good way to invest" or a "currency of the future".
