MOSCOW, Sep 27 – PRIME. The Russian government is ready to compensate companies for the costs of implementing domestic software (software), Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday at a strategic session on software import substitution.

According to him, the government is ready to help where a major improvement in the basic functionality of the software is required, including co-financing a significant part of the costs.
“It is planned to co-finance the introduction of domestic software if the company has already purchased foreign programs and has previously incurred similar expenses. As a result, the organization will have to completely abandon the foreign analogues used,” Mishustin said.
The Prime Minister added that the government is also ready to compensate customers for up to 80% of the funds for finalizing the core of the product to meet their requirements. “We will allocate special grants for such purposes,” he said.
