MOSCOW, 1 Sep — PRIME. The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, spoke before sending a mission to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant about significant risks in the “gray zone”, his words were quoted by the Agence France-Presse.

The Ministry of Defense announced the shelling of the meeting place with the IAEA by Ukrainian troops

“We know there is a gray area… where the risks are significant,” he said.

On Monday, Grossi said the mission was already on its way to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and would arrive on site this week. Mikhail Ulyanov, permanent representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna, reported to RIA Novosti that the mission includes about a dozen employees of the IAEA secretariat who deal with issues of safeguards and nuclear safety. They are accompanied by a large team of UN staff dealing with logistics and security issues.
