The Kremlin spoke about Washington’s attempts to influence the decisions of OPEC +

MOSCOW, 6 Oct — PRIME. The United States and some European countries are trying to exert a destructive influence on OPEC with their “absurd decisions” to impose a ceiling on oil prices, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“Everyone is interested in the markets being stable, and, of course, many countries understand the absurdity of the drastic decisions that are being considered at the moment in the European Union, which are instigated by the United States,” he told reporters.

According to Peskov, such steps can cause damage to the global energy market and all states.

The Kremlin spokesman stressed that the decisions of OPEC + are aimed at stabilizing the situation and are not related to solidarity with any country. According to him, the alliance has repeatedly proved its responsibility.
