MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. The depressurization of one of the strings of the Druzhba pipeline could have occurred as a result of accidental damage, Reuters reported, citing a representative of the Polish government.
Poland did not name the timing of the elimination of the leak at Druzhba
“Here we can talk about accidental damage,” Mateusz Berger, Commissioner for Strategic Energy Infrastructure, told the agency.
At the same time, there is no reason to believe that sabotage was the cause of the oil leak, he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Polish operator of the Druzhba oil pipeline reported a leak on one of the lines of the pipeline. This pipeline is the main route for oil supplies to Germany.
