“According to operational data from SO UES, on August 24 at 14:00 Moscow time, the UES of Russia reached a new summer maximum level of electric power consumption. The new maximum value was 126,655 MW, which is 515 MW higher than the record summer maximum of previous years, recorded on July 19, 2021 “, the message says.

It is also noted that during the period of extremely high temperatures (in July-August), 19 unified and regional energy systems passed the maximum power consumption.

“Under the conditions of high level of power consumption, the unified and regional power systems functioned stably,” the message adds.
