The United States has not yet decided on the level of the price ceiling for Russian oil
WASHINGTON, Oct 16 – PRIME The United States and its allies have not yet made a decision on the price ceiling for Russian oil, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Friday at a press briefing.
Analysts estimate to what levels the Fed can raise rates
“No decision has been made yet,” she said.
“The United States and its partners recently agreed to finalize the imposition of a ceiling on the price of Russian oil,” Yellen added.
According to her, none of the coalition of the US and its allies “does not buy or plan to buy Russian oil,” but the establishment of a price ceiling will help stabilize global energy prices.
On Wednesday, Yellen proposed a price ceiling for Russian oil at around $60 a barrel. Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the West’s idea to limit prices for Russian energy resources, stated that Russia would not supply anything abroad if this would be contrary to its own interests.
