The US Department of Energy significantly lowered the forecast for oil production in the country


MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. The US Department of Energy lowered the forecast for average oil production in the country for the current year by 40,000 barrels per day, to 11.75 million, for the next year, by 270,000 barrels, to 12.36 million barrels per day, follows from the data of the monthly short-term forecast the ministry’s Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Riyadh refuses Washington’s request to postpone decision on production cuts
In September, the Ministry of Energy lowered its forecast for the current year by 70,000 barrels per day, to 11.79 million, and for 2023, also by 70,000 barrels per day, to 12.63 million barrels per day, respectively.
The estimate of US oil production in 2021 remained at 11.25 million barrels per day.
