Last Friday the VrijMiBo could not have started better. The prices of the entire cryptomarket flew up, even as a percentage with double digits. Friday to Saturday, in particular, things went fast. In one fell swoop, all the losses this week had disappeared like snow in the sun. We look back at the prices of the largest crypto coins. And okay, we let Tether out for convenience.
Bitcoin will experience a fantastic start to the weekend
The party started at bitcoin, at 5:30 pm. The rate went up by 7,000 euros and it doesn’t stop there. In less than two hours, the price from bitcoin flew to 8,000 euros. At that moment the action seemed to be over and we thought we could go to sleep peacefully.
But nothing proved less true. At two o’clock in the Netherlands, the rate rose by another 1,500 euros, to the peak of almost 9,500 euros. In total, an increase of almost 37 percent since the low of this week! Were you stepping in Arnhem Bitcoin city at that time, you could therefore give an extra round.
The time of the second rise seems random, but around that time it was morning in Asia. The Chinese president spoke positively about blockchain, and that probably led to a more positive sentiment in the cryptomarket.
Ethereum (ETH) is also not behind
If bitcoin increases, that effect is usually felt throughout the cryptomarket. This is also the case with ether, the cryptomint on the Ethereum network. Last week the rate fell below the level of 150 euros. On Friday evening, ether climbed to 160 euros, and on the night from Friday to Saturday, the 177 euros were even tapped! From the lowest point to the peak, that is an increase of 23.8 percent.
Litecoin (LTC) stores best for last
Last week the price of litecoin moved largely around 44 euros. And this weekend, too, things went fast at litecoin. But unlike ether and bitcoin, litecoin keeps the real last-minute hit. On the night from Sunday to Monday, litecoin briefly reached a value of 56.32 euros. That is an increase of 23.5 percent since last week’s low point!
Ripple (XRP) increases by “only” 16 percent
Last week we wrote that investors are positive about the price of Ripple (XRP). The Swell conference will take place next week. This annual event is organized by Ripple, and the XRP course often rises sharply in the run-up to the conference.
These investors are partly right, the price of XRP has risen sharply. But compared to other crypto coins, an increase of 16.7 percent can be called a little meager.
