Zaporozhye authorities announced the connection of ZNPP to the Russian energy system

MOSCOW, 11 Oct — PRIME. Zaporizhzhya NPP connected to the Russian energy system to meet its own needs, there is no flow from Ukraine, said Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the movement “We are with Russia”, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region.

“Zaporozhye NPP is connected to the Russian energy system, there are no connections with Ukraine, no flow is carried out. The nuclear power plant is powered by power lines from our side. The power needs of the nuclear power plant are provided by Russian electricity,” he told RIA Novosti.

As Rogov noted, the diesel generators at the station are turned off, the volumes of fuel for them are replenished.

Earlier, adviser to the head of the Rosenergoatom concern, Renat Karchaa, said that the electricity supply to the Zaporizhzhya NPP to meet its own needs is again carried out through power lines.

Prior to this, it was reported that the nuclear power plant was running on diesel generators, as Ukrainian troops interrupted the power transmission line coming from the territory under their control. As a result, the Zaporozhye NPP was disconnected from the energy system of Ukraine. For today its blocks are stopped. Energy generation is not carried out.
