Zaporozhye NPP developed an evacuation plan in case of an accident

MOSCOW, August 28 – PRIME. The authorities of the Zaporozhye region are ready for any developments in the nuclear power plant, including a plan for the evacuation of the population if necessary, said in an interview with RIA Novosti the head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky.

“Currently, the Zaporizhzhya NPP is operating normally, the radiation level is normal. But, knowing the cunning, recklessness and ruthlessness of the Kyiv regime towards people whom it calls its citizens in public rhetoric, we, of course, prepared for any development of the situation, and therefore, we developed a plan for the evacuation of the population in the event of such a need,” Balitsky said.

The head of the regional administration recalled that since July 18, the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant has been shelled by armed formations of Ukraine almost daily. The shelling is carried out from the territory controlled by Ukraine, from the right bank of the Dnieper – from the settlements of Marganets and Nikopol. And now shelling continues almost daily.

“Auxiliary support systems of the station, as well as life support facilities of Energodar, were damaged. Two civilians were killed during the shelling of the TPP area,” the agency’s interlocutor recalled.
