Zaporozhye NPP is operating normally – PRIME, 09/05/2022

MOSCOW, September 5 – PRIME. The Zaporozhye NPP is operating normally, the key infrastructure of the facility has not been damaged by the latest shelling of the plant by Ukrainian troops, the radiation background is normal, the administration of Energodar said.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian side resumed the shelling of the ZNPP. Energodar authorities said that “the presence of international experts from the IAEA mission is not a stopping factor for the Kyiv regime, which continues to order further provocations.”

“The radiation background is normal, the key components of the power plant are not damaged. There is a further danger of artillery strikes, and therefore the emergency services are in immediate readiness to provide first aid and eliminate the consequences in case of damage to the infrastructure,” administration representatives noted in the Telegram messenger.
