AMD lanza las Radeon RX 6650 XT, RX 6750 XT y RX 6950 XT

After many leaks, AMD makes the Radeon RX 6050 XT official. Three new models arrive, with the Radeon RX 6650 XT featuring the same 32 compute units as the RX 6600 XT, with a slight increase in frequencies, going from 2589 MHz to 2635 MHz with the 6650 XT. In the rest we have the same, 8GB GDDR6 in 128-bit interface but with an increase of 16Gbits per second of transfer to 17.5Gbits/s, while the Infinity Cache stays at 32MB with a total bandwidth of 469GB/s.

Moving towards the mid-range segment, the Radeon RX 6750 XT is a card with very few improvements over the RX 6700 XT. This model has a maximum of 2.6 GHz, compared to 2581 MHz on the RX 6700 XT. Again we also have an increase in memory bandwidth, going from 16 Gb/s to 18 Gb/s. Added to the performance gain from Infinity Cache, we get an effective bandwidth of 1326 GB/s on this card.

Finally, the new top of the range is the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT. Like the other versions, it maintains the basic structures of the RX 6900 XT, with 80 compute units, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and 128 MB of Infinity Cache. The change is again in the operating frequencies, with an increase from the maximum 2250MHz of the 6900 XT to the 2310MHz of the Radeon RX 6950 XT. With Infinity Cache, this card has an effective bandwidth of 1793 GB/s.

But AMD’s focus was not on the releases themselves, since it is noted that they are slight increases compared to previous models, in short a little or hardly more operating frequencies, but in the dispute over the price. Using the official prices of the products as a reference, AMD presented a product that aims to demonstrate that it offers good performance at more competitive prices with lower power consumption compared to Nvidia’s GeForce.

But that doesn’t mean prices have held up. Some models will co-exist with the existing RX 6000 series lineup, although the Radeon RX 6950 XT is priced at $1,099. (100 more than the Radeon RX 6900 XT), the Radeon RX 6750 XT is priced at $549 ($100 more than the RX 6700 XT), and the Radeon RX 6650 XT is priced at $399 ($20 more than the RX6600XT). The cards will surely begin to arrive at the end of the month in Latin America.
