According to a screenshot of Chinese Cardpu that is said to be from an internal email, the new flagship Radeon R9 290X will be launched tomorrow, October 24, 06:01 Swedish time. Exactly one week later, on 31 October at 06:01 Swedish time, the stripped-down variant Radeon R9 290 will enter the stage.
The Radeon R9 290 uses the Hawaii graphics processor with 2,560 stream processors and a slightly lower clock frequency than the top model Radeon R9 290X, but otherwise retains the same specifications. Including the lavish memory configuration with 4 GB GDDR5 at 5,000 MHz with a 512-bit memory bus.
