MOSCOW, 19 Oct – PRIME. Previously deleted VK applications were restored in the App Store, as VK provided documents confirming that the holding is not under sanctions, The Verge reports, citing an Apple representative.
VK confirmed the return of deleted applications in the App Store
“After the application was removed, the developer provided the necessary information confirming that its majority stake is not owned or controlled by an entity under sanctions,” Apple spokesman Peter Adzhemyan told the publication.
At the end of September, many VK applications, including VKontakte, VK Play, VK Music, VK Clips, VK Messenger and VK Admin, as well as Mail․ru Mail and Mail.ru Cloud stopped appearing when searching the App Store. Apple representatives explained the removal of VK services from the App Store by sanctions from the UK. On the thirteenth of October, the applications returned to the marketplace.
