Bloomberg: The EU will postpone the imposition of a limit on oil prices from Russia
MOSCOW, 26 Sep — PRIME. EU countries are likely to postpone the conclusion of an agreement on the issue of setting a ceiling price for Russian oil due to disagreements, Bloomberg reports citing sources.
Media: Germany plans to impose a cap on electricity prices
As noted by the agency, the conclusion of the agreement is likely to be delayed until a broader package of sanctions is agreed.
Earlier, the agency reported that EU member states are striving to conclude an agreement within a few weeks that would set a ceiling on Russian oil prices after the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the West’s idea to limit prices for Russian energy resources, said that Russia would not supply anything abroad if it would be contrary to its own interests.
