You can unsubscribe from messaging on the Messenger app and Facebook chat, phone and website
The only condition is that the message is deleted within 10 minutes from the time of sending. After 10 minutes the message can no longer be removed and will be readable by the recipient. The function to delete a message within 10 minutes of sending it applies to both individual and group chats.

Recalling that previously the Facebook or Messenger chat had an “delete” option for messages that only deleted them from the chat of the sender and not on that of the recipient, now it can be canceled as if it had never happened and make sure that that message cannot be read by the recipient (unless they did it immediately before it was canceled).
How to delete messages from Facebook chat
If we usually reply to messages sent on the Facebook site chats (which are in fact the same ones that we can find on Messenger), deleting messages is very simple and immediate, we just have to remember to do it as quickly as possible (since the messages become effective and adamant after 10 minutes).
To delete a sent message on the Facebook chat we open the blue social site, log in if necessary then press the chat symbol at the top or press in the chat in the sidebar or at the bottom right, so as to bring it to the foreground.
As soon as the offending message to be deleted is visible, press on the three dots on its left, click on Remove and, in the new window that will appear, make sure that the voice is active Remove for all, then press the button Remove bottom right.
The message will be deleted immediately and it will not be possible to view it. This cancellation will still leave a trace to the interlocutor: in fact the deleted message will be replaced with the warning You have removed a message.
If, on the other hand, we want the message to disappear only from our chat (leaving it visible to the interlocutor or to the other members of the group), just repeat the steps previously seen and select, when requested, the item Remove for you.
How to delete messages from the Messenger app
To cancel a message on the Facebook Messenger App, available for Android or iPhone, all we have to do is open the app, take us to the chat where the offending message is present, press on the message sent and hold down until the list of options appears, so you can press on the item Remove.
A warning window will appear where you can click on Delete to permanently delete the message. The option also deletes the message on the recipient’s chat, leaving however an indication of a deleted message (as seen in the previous chapter). The notice of the deleted message will also appear on the Facebook site.
By deleting the message we can therefore remedy a sending error, but remember to intervene must take place before seeing the notification “read” and within 10 minutes of sending.
The presence of a notice of cancellation does not protect from the interlocutor’s requests and from possible bad figures, but at least the message sent by mistake can never be read.
How to delete messages on the Messenger website
In addition to the Messenger app, we can also delete messages sent by mistake from the Messenger website, which behaves like a large chat that can be managed by any browser and can be used instead of the uncomfortable and antiquated chat integrated on Facebook (even if at end the messages sent are the same!).
To delete a sent message from the Messenger website we open the preferred browser on our computer, we access the site with our login credentials (if we already have a Facebook account configured, we will be asked to confirm our identity), let’s go to the chat where the message is present offending, press on the three dots next to the message (on the left), click on the Remove item and choose, in the new window, whether to delete the message for us or for everyone.
To cancel the sent message and avoid bad figures, select the item Remove for all and immediately press on Remove. If, on the other hand, it is sufficient to delete the message only on our chat (leaving it visible to the interlocutors), we select the item Remove for you, then press again Remove.
Also in this case, as in the previous chapters, deleting the message will leave a visible trace, so that the interlocutor or interlocutors will be notified of your gesture.

Conclusions
Making mistakes is human and everyone will have escaped at least once a message addressed to one person but delivered to another, with an attached figure and corrections to be made to avoid problems and embarrassing situations. Fortunately, modern messaging apps and the services connected to them allow you to act on the messages immediately after realizing the error, remedying immediately before it is read (which is however likely given that the user could be online during the sending of the message. wrong!).
