Download the November 2021 21H2 update for Windows 10 now

Even though Microsoft has launched Windows 11, those who choose to stay with Windows 10 are not left behind and will still receive full support for at least 4 years. With this in mind, starting today, it is available the November 2021 update of Windows 10 which brings the system to the version 21H2 (after the May update Windows 10 21H1).
While it is an important Update to keep the system protected from the latest vulnerabilities discovered, for the correction of bugs or errors in order to improve performance. In terms of new features, however, there is really nothing to report, as virtually all changes to the system have been brought into Windows 11.
This means that Windows 10 will remain a supported and secure system for several years (4), even if it will have little or no evolution, without adding new features that will instead be reserved for Windows 11.

How to update Windows 10 to version 21H2

To download and install the November 2021 Windows 10 update there are the usual three ways:
– Tramite Windows Update.
– Through the Update Program
– Tramite Media Creation Tool.

First of all, check the version of Windows 10 installed on your computer. The fastest way is to press the Windows-R keys together and then type and execute the command winver . The version number will appear in the box, which in order to perform this update must be at least version 2004 or later.

Update via Windows Update

At this point, to install the 21H2 version of Windows 10 we can use windows update.
Open the Start menu and click on the gear icon that leads to Settings (You can also right-click on the Start menu to find the direct link to Settings).
Go to Update and Security> Windows Update and, if it is not already indicated above, press the key Check for updates.
After a few minutes of searching, the message should then appear Feature upgrade to Windows 10, version 21H2.
Press the link Download and install now to start downloading and installing the new November version.
In the event that other updates appear, you will first need to download and install these updates and patches, then restart the computer, repeat the check for new updates until they are all installed and you will see the availability of the feature update.
The installation of this update is, surprisingly, quick and painless and will lead, after a reboot and a quick loading, to the new version of Windows 10 without any problems and without waiting (in my case it took 5 minutes).

Force installation of Windows 10 21H2

In case it is not yet available in Windows Update (the release is gradual and not immediate for all PCs in the world), then you can anyway force the installation of the Windows 10 update.

To force the installation of Windows 10 21H2 as an update, you can open the site https://www.microsoft.com/it-it/software-download/Windows10 epremere su Update now, to download the update assistant file (Windows10Upgrade9252.exe). The procedure will therefore be quick and uncomplicated.
However, if the update fails in this way, then you can always go to the same site as Windows 10 and press the lower key instead, Download the tool now, which leads to the download of the program Media Creation Tool.
Once downloaded, you can run the program to do a guided update which, this time, is like a new system installation. With the Media creation tool you can choose whether or not to keep personal files and installed programs. Proceeding with the update in this way everything will be much slower, but in any case no files will be deleted and no programs removed.
You can also use the Media Creation Tool download the ISO of the latest version of Windows 10, for a clean installation from scratch.

Finally, Microsoft announced that the release frequency for Windows 10 updates will now be slower, not twice a year as has been the case so far, but only one feature update each year. There will therefore be no new Windows 10 update (let’s talk about the ones that update the features, while the security patches will still be installed every week as usual) until the end of 2022.
