Gazprom named growth driver for small-tonnage LNG production

MOSCOW, 21 Sep — PRIME. The main engine of growth for small-scale production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the gas motor fuel market, Aleksey Kakhidze, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom LNG Technologies LLC, told reporters at the Industrial Energy Forum (TNF).

“Yes,” Kakhidze answered the question whether the gas motor fuel market is the main driver for the development of small-scale LNG production.

“Railway equipment, marine equipment and autonomous gasification also occupy a large percentage, but are not yet strongly developed. Although autonomous gasification will naturally occupy a large percentage,” he added.

Gazprom LNG Technologies is a specialized company within the Gazprom Group, appointed as a single operator for the implementation of low-tonnage liquefied natural gas production projects of Gazprom PJSC.
