Gazprom supplies gas to the Sudzha GIS according to the applications for September 10

MOSCOW, 10 Sep — PRIME. Gazprom is supplying gas through Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side to the Sudzha GIS – 42.4 million cubic meters as of September 10, the application for the Sokhranovka GIS has been rejected, the official representative of the Russian company Sergey Kupriyanov said.

Gazprom is supplying Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the GIS Sudzha – 42.4 million cubic meters as of September 10. The application for the GIS “Sokhanovka” was rejected,” he told reporters.

Since May 11, Ukraine has stopped receiving gas for transit through the Sokhranovka GIS, citing the fact that it is under the control of Russian forces (on the territory of the LPR). As a result, only one entrance remained for gas transit to Europe – the Sudzha GIS. Gazprom stated that transferring all volumes to Sudzha is technologically impossible, the company fulfills all obligations to European consumers, and transit services are fully paid.

At the same time, gas supplies via Nord Stream, also one of the main routes for Russian gas exports, have been suspended since the end of August. “Gazprom” explained this by the detected malfunctions at the only working gas-pumping unit of the “Portovaya” compressor station.

Germany’s Siemens said it did not consider them a technical reason for shutting down the pipeline. But after Gazprom announced that Siemens is participating in the repair work of the unit, it detects malfunctions and is ready to fix them, but because of the sanctions, there is nowhere to do this.
