Geforce Drivers 310.54 Beta optimizes for Black Ops 2, Assassins Creed 3

In October, AMD released a new driver for the Radeon series graphics cards with promises of real performance improvements in a number of popular games, including Battlefield 3. Shortly afterwards, Nvidia countered with optimized software for the Geforce series and now it’s time for another beta brand a driver that will provide a higher frame rate with some of this autumn’s most anticipated game titles.

According to Nvidia’s internal tests, the new Geforce Drivers 310.54 Beta will provide up to 26 percent better performance in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which will be released on Tuesday. At the same time, performance increases of up to 10 percent are promised in games such as Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed III and Medal of Honor Warfighter, depending on the graphics card model and settings.

In addition to performance optimizations, Geforce Drivers 310.54 Beta also delivers several new SLI profiles, including for the Mech panger Hawken, as well as support for the TXAA anti-aliasing technology in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin’s Creed 3. Finally, a bunch of bug fixes.

Geforce Drivers 310.54 Beta works with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. The driver is available in the usual order to download from Nvidia’s website, where the change log is also available.
