In November last year, studio IO Interactive unexpectedly announced that it was working on a project about James Bond. The game is still known under the working title Project 007, which clearly hints at its impressive remoteness from readiness and, as a result, release
In a conversation with the Danish edition of DR, the head of IO Interactive Hakan Abrak shared a couple of details. First, according to Abrak, Project 007 could grow into a trilogy. The developers already have experience in creating a trilogy, so there should be no difficulties; it is only important to remember that this is still only an assumption of the head of the studio.
Secondly, Abrak recalled that Project 007 will use the own image of James Bond developed by IO Interactive, and the plot will feature a completely new story that has nothing to do with the previous works of Bond.
Third, Project 007 will be the largest project in the history of IO Interactive. For its production, the staff of developers will be increased over the next years from the current two hundred to the planned four hundred. Accordingly, it is logical to assume that the release of Project 007 is not a matter of the next few years.
Finally, Abrak noted that he is proud of the fact that the owners of the James Bond franchise have entrusted the production of the new game to IO Interactive. It is not surprising: who else can be trusted with a game about a super agent, if not the creators of games about another super agent.
