The second method, on the other hand, involves the total cancellation of the account from Spotify, the definitive loss of everything that has been set up in the service and the impossibility of later reusing the username already used on Spotify to create a new account.

You carefully evaluate the operation to be carried out based on your needs and, once you have made the decision, follow the instructions below. Of course, to complete the account closure process, you will need to have access to the email address used to sign up for Spotify. If everything is clear so far, let’s proceed.

How to delete Spotify Premium account

Let’s see first how to delete Spotify Premium account. What you need to do is disable the automatic renewal and delete the account. Find everything explained right below.

Deactivate subscription renewal

First, the first thing you need to do, is deactivate subscription renewal, which is feasible for both computer and mobile. Here are all the details.

From computer

Deactivate the Spotify account from computer it’s pretty simple. You can act directly through the browser, since the operations to be performed must be done on the website of the well-known streaming music platform.

Connect, therefore, to this Internet page, log in with username e password (or via account Facebook, Google O Apple, with the appropriate button), scroll to the bottom of the displayed page and click on the button Cancel your Premium subscription, attached to the box Spotify Free.

Finally, confirm the operation by clicking on the button Yes, cancel, indicate a reason why you want to make your choice (eg. I haven’t found the music or podcasts I like), click on the button Keep it going and follow the instructions you see on the screen to complete the process.

However, keep in mind that if you have activated Spotify Premium through a telephone operator and make the payment via remaining credit or directly on the invoice, the procedure to be carried out for the cancellation of the subscription changes completely: you must proceed with the cancellation of the subscription directly from your personal page on the site of your manager. If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to contact your operator.

From mobile

If you prefer to act from mobile, you must necessarily act from the web version of Spotify, as it is not possible to perform this operation from the official app of the service.

If you use a iPhone/iPad and you are paying through iTunes (option not available for some time for new customers), you have to act from within iOS / iPadOS: open the app Settings, pressing the gray icon with the gears present on the home screen, press on Your name, presses on the voice Subscriptions and select the item related to Spotify, found in the section ACTIVE / I.. Finally, tap on the wording Cancel Spotify Premium and confirm the operation using the appropriate button. Really simple, isn’t it?

Caution: the procedure changes completely if a subscription to Spotify Premium has been subscribed through a telephone operator, and the charge is made directly on the telephone credit or on the invoice. If you find yourself in this situation, you need to log in to yours personal page on the operator’s site, locate the management menu of digital services and cancel the Spotify Premium renewal from there. Next, click on the link Account closure (at the bottom) and click on the items Account> I want to close my account. Now, click on the button Contact us to close and, after providing yours Name and your request (in the field Tell us more), click the button Submit your question.

Within a few minutes (or a few hours at the most), an email will be sent to the email address linked to the account you wish to cancel. Within it you will be provided with instructions (in English) on how to move: the Spotify team may ask you, for example, to help identify the account by providing some payment information that you had previously associated with it and / or data of alternative contact.

Be prepared to follow the specific information that is required of you to proceed with the operation and, as soon as the Spotify team identifies the account you intend to delete, they will promptly delete it.

From mobile

If you intend to take action from mobile, know that even in this case you must proceed from the web version of Spotify, by going to the account settings to be deleted and sending your request from there.

Take steps, therefore, to go up this web page, log in to the account you want to delete (if you have not yet done so), tap on the link Account closure placed at the bottom and press on the words Account> I want to close my account.

Now, press the button Contact us to close and, after indicating yours Name and the specific request you intend to make, making use of the textual field for the latter Tell us more, presses the button Submit your question.

Within a few minutes (or, at most, a few hours), the Spotify team will answer your question by sending you an email to the address attached to the account you want to delete. The message will contain (in English) the exact instructions to proceed: basically, you will be told to help the Spotify staff to identify the account to be permanently deleted, providing some payment information that you had previously associated with it and / or alternative contact details.

How to delete Spotify Free account

To cancel a free Spotify account from computer, you must go to the account settings, start the cancellation procedure and click on the link that is sent to the associated email address.

From mobile

If you intend to cancel your Spotify Free account from mobile, you must go to the account settings, start the cancellation from its settings and confirm everything by clicking on the link that is sent to the email address associated with it.

Now, press the button Close account, tap the blue button again Close account which is on the new page opened and, after checking that the account to be closed is the one indicated, presses the button Keep it going, check the box Understand and press the button again Keep it going.

Now, access the email address associated with the account you want to delete, tap the button Close your account contained in the message and, unless you reactivate the account within 7 days (via the link you will receive after confirming the cancellation procedure), the profile will be deleted foreverormatica.
