How to find and install Netflix games
Netflix has produced quite a few original titles, both movies and series, that have been successful. As with most popular media titles, the games have been built around some of the most popular movies and games on Netflix. Bandersnatch has been developed on the basis of the Choose Your Own Adventure novel model. There are also a decent amount of mobile games developed by Netflix for titles like Stranger Things.
Netflix games
Netflix games are available for iOS and Android. You won’t find games to play on your PC or console, but there are a few different titles that you can play on your phone. The games are free, however you must have a Netflix account (and subscription) to play them.
The Netflix games tab
If you keep the Netflix app up to date, you will see a new Games tab at the bottom. Go to this games tab and you will see a list of available games. Currently, there are five titles available;
- Stranger Things: 1984
- Stranger Things 3: The Game
- Tiro al aro (Frosty Pop)
- Card Blast (Amuzo y Rogue Games)
- Teeter Up (Frosty Pop)
Go to the Games tab and select the game you want to play. You can download and play it.
All games are available, however the tab may not yet be visible to all Netflix accounts. That doesn’t mean you can’t play the game. It just means you need to search and download it from the app store for your phone.
Download Netflix games manually
The key to downloading official Netflix games is knowing the name of the game and making sure the title you’re downloading was developed by Netflix. Developer information is available on a game’s detail page / card in both the App Store and the Google Play Store.
- Open Google Play Store on Android or App Store on iOS.
- Look for a Netflix game, for example, Stranger Things: 1984.
- Verify that the developer is Netflix.
- Download the game (enter your Google password or Apple ID if necessary).
- Open the game.
- Select the Netflix profile you want to play with (each profile has its own game profile and scorecard).
- The game starts.
conclusion
If you open a game after downloading it directly from your phone’s respective app store, you may be prompted to log into your Netflix account. If you have the Netflix app installed on your phone, this should generally not happen. With that said, use the Netflix account and you are good to go. There are no restrictions on the type / level of account you must have to play the games. Users can play regardless of whether they have the cheapest or the most expensive plan.
