How to fix thermal throttling issue in games on Windows PC

Just like any normal motor or power converter, your computer also generates heat. This heat emission shoots up every time your PC has to scale heavy operations. However, CPU and GPU manufacturers have designed their products in such a way that whenever they exceed the maximum safe temperature limit, the processing power output is decreased to cool down and prevent essential components from melting. This is known as thermal throttling. While running an intense gaming session, you will notice that the frame rate drops after a few hours. This is due to the thermal throttling effect. But if this thermal throttling issue is ruining your gaming experiences, don’t worry. There are ways to decrease this thermal throttling in your system.

WARNING

Thermal throttling is a feature, not a bug. Protects critical components of your system. Therefore, do not try to control thermals using third-party applications. Stick to the letters of this article and proceed with caution.

Solution 1 – Use a Registry Editor tweak

1. Just press the button Tecla de Windows+S keys together and type”regeditar” in the search box.

2. Then click “registry editor» To open it.

The Registry Editor will open.

Warning – Sometimes these registry edits can crash your entire system. In that case, a simple registry backup can save your system. Therefore, follow this simple step to create a backup of the registry before making any changes to the registry.
