OKEx launches futures trading in USDT

The OKEx exchange has announced it will launch futures trading in Tether (USDT) with a leverage of up to 100X.

According to the press release, the contracts will have daily settlement and offer pairs with Bitcoin (BTC), EOS, Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), XRP, Classic Ethereum (ETC), Bitcoin SV (BSV) and Throne (TRX).

OKEx argues that offering derivative contracts based on stable cryptocurrencies will provide a more efficient means of calculating risks.

USDT futures contracts will be launched on November 14, and USDT Perpetual Swap will be launched on December 9.

Meanwhile, Binance has announced that daily trading volumes for futures contracts reached an average value of $ 2 billion.

The Korean government is providing $ 9 million for blockchain projects

The Korean Internet Security Agency (KISA) will support blockchain-related projects with 10.5 billion won (about $ 9 million) by 2020. About 10 projects will be chosen for next year, while one or two of them they will receive funding over several years. The maximum funding will be $ 1.2 million per project.

Both public and private sector projects will be eligible to apply, but the agency has announced it will not support cryptocurrency or exchange crypto-based projects.

This will be the third year that KISA will provide financial support to blockchain projects. The Agency operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Science and ICT.

The company has announced that the Azure IoT (SaaS) software suite has recorded usage increases of almost 150% year-on-year.

Telefonica collaborates with 8000 companies to develop blockchain solutions in Spain

The Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica has announced that it will collaborate with the Association of Scientific and Technological Parks of Spain (APTE) for the development of blockchain-based solutions.

The initiative will include 64 technology parks hosting 8,157 Spanish companies.

According to the announcement, the goal of the initiative is to investigate various processes that can be improved through blockchain applications.
