Power supply of Zaporozhye NPP has been fully restored
MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. The power supply to the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has been restored, restarting the reactors is not planned in the near future, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said in his telegram channel.
According to him, backup and emergency power supply from diesel generators lasted less than an hour.
Earlier, the IAEA said that the Zaporizhzhya NPP twice in five days was completely disconnected from external power supply and relies only on diesel generators.
Rogov noted that the station operates on its own due to diesel generators, nuclear reactors are not yet functioning and their launch is not planned in the near future.
