Pushkov assessed how the limitation of prices for Russian oil will affect the West
MOSCOW, September 5 – PRIME. By imposing a price limit on Russian oil, the West risks losing in the economic confrontation with Russia, Senator Alexei Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Senator predicts catastrophic consequences for the EU from the eighth package of sanctions
According to the senator, the European Union is “breaking the energy umbilical cord” that connected it with the Russian Federation.
“But due to the huge resources that Russia has at its disposal, Europe runs the risk of losing,” Pushkov said.
In his opinion, the West is ready to make significant sacrifices in order to drive the Russian economy into a “black hole”, and at the moment there is a competition of Russian resources against Western sanctions.
