MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. When developing alternative energy, it is necessary to take into account consumption volumes and economic growth rates, and not get ahead of ourselves for the sake of politics, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Russian Energy Week forum.
Putin announced the lack of investment in the oil market
It is necessary to deal with renewable energy sources, he said, but it is important to take into account economic factors, including the availability of technology.
“But who does it, looking ahead for political reasons, especially of an opportunistic political nature?” the President noted.
According to Putin, such tactics will lead to the curtailment of nuclear energy and the rejection of long-term contracts in the gas sector.
