President Ripple Labs confirms that he has recovered from COVID-19 infection

Ripple Labs President Chris Larsen has fully recovered from COVID-19 infection. He made the announcement on Twitter and thanked the medical staff who cared for him. Larsen also encouraged people who recovered from the virus to donate blood. It seems that recovered patients could help those struggling with the virus because their blood now contains antibodies.

The COVID-19 epidemic also affected the crypto industry – an outbreak of infection was recorded at the ETH CC Conference in Paris. Zhen Yu Yong, the founder of the Torus wallet, was one of the infected people and about 20 people who attended the conference were subsequently confirmed as having a virus.

The FBI accuses a Russian rapper of money laundering on Bitcoin transactions

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) used the activity of the Bitcoin wallet and an old exchange account to arrest a Russian rapper on a charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering.

FBI agents have been monitoring digital activity to identify the activity of a major money laundering operation, led by the criminal organization QQAAZZ. Russian rapper Maksim Boiko has been identified as a close link to the group’s leaders.

QQAAZZ received and stole money for fraudsters through several crypto exchanges, including Coinbase and Bitstamp. Boiko was identified through an account on BTC-e, a crypto exchange closed in 2017 because it facilitated money laundering. Boiko registered with an email containing his rap name, “Plinofficial”, and moniker “gangass” as his username.

The rapper is charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering and is liable to 10 years in prison. He continued to release music under the Smells Weed Music label and was still active on Twitter earlier this week.
