Store-packed Battlefield 3 is bundled with Asus Geforce DirectCU II

Anyone who has tried the first beta version of Battlefield 3 has probably discovered that powerful components are required to reach playable frame rates, at least at higher quality settings. Not entirely unexpectedly, graphics card manufacturers are blowing morning air and recharging with several inexpensive campaigns.

A few days ago, SweClockers reported that AMD plans to bundle Battlefield 3, that is, send the game to some selected graphics cards in the Radeon series. Now it appears that Nvidia Geforce is not left out.

Asus, EA, Nvidia and Webhallen are doing something together in a new campaign where a full version of Battlefield 3 in store packaging comes with graphics cards from the Asus series DirectCU II. These are models based on the Geforce GTX 560 / Ti, 570 and 580 – that is, graphics cards from the middle class all the way up to the flagship Geforce GTX 580.

The offer will also start well in advance of the launch of Battlefield 3 on October 27, perhaps as soon as during the day.
