The Kremlin did not rule out sabotage at Nord Stream

The Defense Forces deployed the Absalon frigate and the Gunnar Thorson eco-vessel, as well as helicopters, to the site.

As specified, the equipment will monitor the water in the Baltic Sea. Work will be carried out in a closed area after an emergency.

On Monday, the operating company Nord Stream 2 AG reported a sharp drop in pressure on the Nord Stream 2 line filled with technical gas. After that, a decrease in pressure was recorded on both threads of the Nord Stream pipeline. The Danish Maritime Authority has issued a warning to ships about a gas leak near the island of Bornholm. The cause of the incident is under investigation.

According to the operator, the destruction inflicted on the infrastructure is unprecedented, and it is currently impossible to estimate the timing of the restoration of the pipelines.
