The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood release date announced

Bethesda Softworks has partnered with ZeniMax Media Studios to announce that The Elder Scrolls Online multiplayer RPG Blackwood Expansion will be released on June 1 on PC and on June 8 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This expansion is notable for the fact that simultaneously with its release, the story of the “Oblivion Gate” starts in the game. And individual episodes of this story will be released throughout 2021. All the action will take place 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

The Oblivion Gateway event is split into many building blocks. These are expansions, and chapters, and additions with dungeons, and a large storyline addition. So, the addition “Fire of Ambition” will be released on March 8 on PC and March 16 – on consoles. We wrote above about the chapter “Black Forest” (aka Blackwood). The Dungeon Expansion Expansion will only be released in Q3, with a large story DLC slated for the end of the year.

As for Blackwood, this expansion will add a new location to the game (the same Black Forest), a new system of companions with whom it will even be possible to have a romance in the future, a big challenge for 12 players, Oblivion portals and new boss dungeons. You will have to spend at least 30 hours to get acquainted with the new storyline.
