MOSCOW, 20 Sep — PRIME. The German Central Bank warned of a possible significant decline in economic activity in the country in the winter due to a reduction in gas supplies from Russia, reports Reuters.
In Germany, imports from Russia grew by a third in seven months
The German economy, according to the Central Bank, is highly likely to shrink, even if the country does not introduce direct rationing of the consumption of “blue fuel” – after all, the country’s industrial enterprises have already begun to reduce, or even suspend production.
At the same time, the Central Bank does not plan to revise the previously presented negative scenario for the development of the energy crisis in the country. The German economy was initially projected to contract by 3.2% in 2023.
