The price of AI-95 gasoline on the Russian stock exchange fell to a minimum since March

MOSCOW, Sep 27 – PRIME. The cost of AI-95 gasoline at the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange (SPIMEX) on Tuesday fell by 2.59% to 40,306 rubles per ton, cheaper for several trading sessions in a row, the last time the price fell below this level on March 10, then this type of fuel cost 40,182 rubles, according to auction data.

Oil prices accelerated growth rates

In addition, the price of AI-92 gasoline according to the territorial index of the European part of Russia fell by 3.01% to 39,340 rubles per ton, which is the lowest level since the second half of July. And the cost of diesel fuel decreased by 2.43%, to 56,291 rubles per ton.

Fuel oil at the same time increased in price by 2.04%, its price amounted to 6,642 rubles, and liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LHGs) fell in price by 4.77%, to 16,572 rubles. The cost of jet fuel has not changed and remained at the level of 69,967 rubles.

Exchange prices for fuel in Russia began to grow noticeably at the end of 2020; by the summer of 2021, the cost of its main types had updated historical records. Since February 2022, the cost of gasoline of the two most popular brands – AI-92 and AI-95 – has begun to actively decline. Experts attributed this to sanctions restrictions on the supply of oil and petroleum products to Western countries. The cost of diesel fuel on the stock exchange this year updated its record values ​​in two waves – in January and at the end of July.
