The release of the Firefox 85 browser with super cookie protection

Mozilla has announced the start of distribution of the Firefox 85 version of the browser. It has supercook protection, improved bookmark management, the ability to delete all saved logins from the password manager at the same time without having to delete them separately. This is the first version of Firefox without Adobe Flash support.

Firefox has been promising better privacy protections for several years now. Tracking by outsiders is blocked to fulfill this promise. In this version, supercookies begin to block. These are cookies that are used to track network activity, but are not visible from the browser. This way, when you click “Clear cookies” in your browser, super cookies are saved. Firefox 85 isolates supercookies so they can’t track and profile as they navigate between different sites.

Among the changes in appearance, the bookmarks bar can be distinguished. Even if the panel is hidden, it appears in new tabs. This is the default setting and can be changed. A new folder on the taskbar also gives access to the bookmarks menu.

Now you can delete all saved logins with one click. Previously, you had to scroll through the list of logins with passwords for different sites and delete them individually, which could take a lot of time.

If you already have Firefox installed, you can update it from Help> About Firefox.
