MOSCOW, 20 Oct – PRIME. Almost five million applications have already been downloaded from the domestic application store on Android RuStore, the marketplace itself has been downloaded 2.4 million times, VK reported.
Earlier in the spring, VK and the Ministry of Digital Development launched a beta version of the domestic RuStore store due to the disabling of the ability to pay for products with Russian bank cards on Google Play and the App Store.
“RuStore has already hosted about 2.1 thousand applications and represented by 1.15 thousand developer companies. The store application has been installed 2.4 million times, almost 5 million applications have been downloaded from RuStore since the launch of the store,” the company noted.
According to VK representatives, more than 42% of all downloads come from financial applications. The “Tools” category accounts for 11% of downloads, “Entertainment” nine percent, and “Shopping” eight percent.
