MOSCOW, 6 Oct — PRIME. The United States can help analyze underwater audio recordings to speed up the investigation of the emergency at Nord Stream, CNN reported, citing sources.

Sweden completes investigation at the site of Nord Stream leaks
According to the report, the study of hydroacoustic signals will make it possible to understand what was in the area of terrorist attacks on gas pipelines and what caused the explosions.
It is expected that the US Navy will take over the work, and Denmark and Sweden will provide the records.
At the same time, satellite images are unlikely to be useful for the investigation due to the fact that cloudiness remained on the eve of the emergency.
A gas leak on the strings of the Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 was discovered on September 26 in the Baltic Sea. According to Swedish seismologists, powerful underwater explosions were recorded in the emergency area the day before. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out that the incidents could have been the result of targeted sabotage.

The Foreign Ministry called for an international investigation into the emergency at Nord Stream
The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation initiated the initiation of a case on an act of international terrorism.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said earlier that Moscow received information about the unwillingness to allow it to investigate the emergency on gas pipelines. According to him, such a position is deeply regrettable, since without the participation of the Russian side it will be impossible to conduct an objective investigation.
