Windows 11 2022, solved problems with NVIDIA GPUs: fix released (beta)

NVIDIA quickly responded to complaints from its users about the proprietary GPU performance issues with Windows 11 2022 Update, releasing an interim fix in the form of a beta. The update is expected to be released as final for all users in the next few days, by the end of the current week.

The problem: as we wrote last Friday, installing Windows 10 2022 caused a drastic drop in in-game performance for some NVIDIA GPU owners. Several users have indeed reported “stuttering, lag, and dancer’s use of CPU resources”, with the Santa Clara company declaring that it was aware of the problems. The bug is caused by the new graphical debugging tools present on Windows 11 22H2, has then explained the same NVIDIA, which are started incorrectly causing slowdowns in the system and therefore a consistent degradation in in-game performance. In the same message, NVIDIA confirmed that it was working on a fix.

E that fix arrived on Sundaywithin the new version of NVIDIA GeForce Experience v3.26 BETA publicly released (but not yet distributed as a final version). In a post on the official support site, which we freely translate below, the company describes how to get around the problem:

Solution:
Update to the latest version of NVIDIA GeForce Experience v3.26 BETA through one of the methods below:

  1. Manually download the NVIDIA GeForce Experience v3.26 installer to this address. Once downloaded, proceed with the installation
  2. From the GeForce Experience app, access the Settings and select the item “Enable experimental features”. Close the app, wait about 30 seconds and reopen GeForce Experience. The app will automatically update to the latest BETA version.

In the post NVIDIA specified that GeForce Experience v3.26 will be promoted to final “non-Beta” version in the next few days, without indicating a precise date. The message states that the new version of the app will be distributed within a new GeForce Game Ready Driver “in the week of September 26”.
