Enable detection OK google Motorola Moto G – Take a look at these tips, tricks, and solution you can use to make your life much easier with your devices whenever problems arrive and complications which you may find difficult to deal with.
Google Voice Search is a powerful utility on Android devices that allows you to carry out interesting actions, such as making a call, sending an SMS or creating a reminder, by means of a simple voice command. But, before you can do this you first have to wake a Voice Search. Manually, what you do is open the Google search application and touch the microphone that appears in the upper right. But this can also be done automatically, through a voice command: the “OK Google” command (oquei gugol).
On the Motorola Moto G (and probably other Android devices), the option to wake up to voice search with the OK Google command does not work by default. To make it work, it is necessary to change the configuration of this utility to English, which is the only language supported right now.
How to enable OK Google detection
In the app drawer, tap on Google Settings. Inside, choose Google Search and Google Now and later Voice.
On the next screen choose Idiom > English… > English (US). United States English is chosen because it is currently the only supported English dialect. You can also choose Spanish language, as it is already supported.
To verify that this functionality is activated, return to the screen of Voice and tap on the new option Keyword detection “OK Google” which should be available after it is done. On the next screen, verify that the switch is activated (in blue).
When you open the Google search application, the voice command OK Google (“okei gugol”) should already wake up Voice Search and make it ready to receive voice commands, without the need to manually press the microphone in the upper right. .
In addition to enabling OK Google in voice search, it is also highly recommended to activate Google Now on the Moto G (which is disabled by default). This is because some commands require Google Now to be performed (for example, create reminders).
Optionally the application can be installed Nova Launcher (available for free in the Play Store), one of the few OK Google launchers that allows you to wake up Voice Search directly from the home screen and from the application drawer, without having to open the Google search application. For this, this functionality must first be activated in Nova Launcher, from New settings > OK Google, and check the box that says Keyword OK Google. This functionality is only supported on the Motorola Moto G and other Android devices with a processor that supports it (such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or higher), but it can also be obtained on any Android Jelly Bean or higher thanks to the Open Mic app.
