How to use Google and filtered searches - Tips and Tricks

Maybe not everyone knows, but the default behavior of the most used search engine in the world, Google, is that of filtration explicit content in the results of the image searches in order to do not let out in the results images for adults.

Many users prefer that sites with adult content are not included in search results (especially when their children use the same computer). Google’s SafeSearch feature searches for sites with explicitly sexual content and deletes them from the search results. No filter is ever 100% accurate. However, SafeSearch manages to eliminate most inappropriate content.

The default is average filtering level but it is possible to have a high filtering level to remove links (in addition to images) from the results.

Here is the way to temporarily and / or permanently delete the filter.

If you have a Google account you can permanently remove the filter by going to the preferences page and then in the section SafeSearch filter to select “Don’t filter the search results“.
In case you don’t have an account, the setting will have to be changed every time that you delete cookies or change browser / computer.

To disable SafeSearchby Google forever it is enough, once the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox is installed, to install the script you find on this page (just click on Install This Script top right).
You no longer have to change the settings from the preferences and you will have all the results.
