How to disable error reporting in Windows 11
When some problems occur with any of the programs or applications in Windows, Windows displays an error message to the user asking if they want to send some data to Microsoft so that it can better analyze the problem. Although it is good to send the data to improve the services, sometimes it can be quite annoying. Also, this particular program is reported to consume too much CPU power. Whatever the reason, if you want to disable this bug reporting program, there are definitely ways!
Method 1: through the service windows
Paso 1: Start the To run window pressing WIN + R keys together. to write services.msc and hit the OK button.
Paso 2: When the Services window opens, in the right window cristal, scroll down and locate the service entrance named Windows Error Reporting Service.
Once located, the right button of the mouse on it and then click on the Properties option.
Paso 3: The previous step would open the properties window for the selected service. Perform the following steps below.
- Make sure you are in the General tab.
- Choose Disabled option of the Start type the drop-down list.
- Click on Stop button if the service is in the running state.
- Once done, click Request and then in OK buttons.
Restart your machine for the changes to take over.
Method 2: through the group policy editor
Paso 1: Launching To run window. press WIN + R keys to that.
Like below, type gpedit.msc and hit OK button.
Paso 2: Browse to the next next path.
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Error Reporting
At left window panel, make sure you have reached the folder Windows error report.
As below, in the right window cristal, scroll down, find and double click in the named policy Disable Windows error reporting.
Step 3: Now choose the radio button corresponding to the option Activated. Catch Request button then OK button.
Once you restart the machine, the changes will take over.
Method 3: via Registry Editor
Note: It is always recommended to back up your registry editor before making changes to it, as any errors in the registry settings could lead to unwanted problems.
Paso 1: Press WIN + R keys together to launch the To run window. to write regedit and hit Pay in wrench.
Paso 2: Once the Registry Editor window opens, follow the steps below:
1. copy get the next road on the navigation bar and hit Pay in wrench.

2. The right button of the mouse in the folder Windows error report.
3. Click New right-click context menu option.
4. Click Valor DWORD (32 bits) Next.
Paso 3: Name the newly created Dword value as Disabled. Once the appointment is made, double click in that for Edit His properties.
Step 4: in the Value data field, type 1 and hit the OK button. That should be it. Restart your machine for the changes to take over.
Note: If you ever want to activate Windows error reporting via Registry Editor, just put 0 (zero) instead of 1 at Value data field and reboot your machine.
