Gunfire Reborn has an excellent rating on ProtonDB, so it should work very well on Linux. However, if you want to play games, you will first need to install the Steam application for Linux on your computer.

Installing Steam on Linux is easy, thanks to the fact that Valve supports all Linux operating systems virtually. If you want the application to work on your computer, start by opening a terminal window.
To open a terminal window on the Linux desktop, press Ctrl + Alt + T on the keyboard. Alternatively, you can open a terminal window by searching for “Terminal” in the application menu.
Ubuntu
Run the following fit to install command in a terminal window to get Steam up and running on Ubuntu.
sudo apt install steam
Debian
Steam works on Debian. However, you will have to download the Steam DEB package directly from Valve for it to work. To start the download process, use the following wget download command.
wget https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/steam.deb
When the Steam DEB package has been downloaded, you can begin the installation. Using the dpkg command then install the latest version of Steam on Debian.
sudo dpkg -i steam.deb
After configuring the Steam DEB package, you will need to correct any dependency issues that may have occurred during the installation process.

Arch Linux
For Steam to work on Arch Linux, the “multilib” software repository must be enabled. Unfortunately, the software repository is not enabled by default.
Open the /etc/pacman.conf
text file in your favorite text editor (as root). When the file is open, locate the “mutlilib” line and remove the # symbol in front of it. Also, remove the # symbol from the lines directly below.
Save the edits in the text editor and close it. Then use the pacman command to resynchronize Arch with official servers.
sudo pacman -Syy
Finally, install the latest version of Steam.
sudo pacman -S steam
Fedora / OpenSUSE
If you use Fedora or OpenSUSE, you can install Steam through the software repositories included with the operating system. With that said, the Flatpak version on Steam works much better, and we suggest following those instructions instead.
Flatpak
In order for the Flatpak version of Steam to be up and running on your computer, you will first need to configure the Flatpak runtime. Configure the Flatpak runtime by following the guide on the subject.
After setting the runtime, the Steam application is ready to install. Using the two commands below, get the latest version of Steam up and running.
