How to view cell edit history in Google Sheets

Google Sheets is one of the services that Google presented to users for their convenience. This spreadsheet is a free, web-based editor that has built-in formulas for cells, charts, and other formatting options that make your data look neat. Sometimes if you have edited a lot of cells and don’t remember cell data history then it will be difficult situation. But there is a newly introduced option to check your edit history of cells in spreadsheet. Let’s see in this article how to see the edit history of cells in Google sheets.

How to view cell edit history in Google Sheets

Paso 1: Open the saved Google Sheet of your unit whose cell history you are looking for.

Paso 2: After the Google sheet opens, click on the cell as shown below.

Paso 3: Then right click on the selected cell.

Paso 4: When you click Show edit history, a small window appears next to the cell.

This little window will contain some data if there is any history as shown below.

If there is no history, the small window will show «no edit history“.

Paso 5: To close the cell edit history window, just click somewhere on the google sheet outside of this window.

You can use this method to view your cell’s edit history in Google Sheets.
