In Germany, they calculated how much Habek’s initiative to save energy costs
MOSCOW, 11 Sep — PRIME. The initiative of the Minister of Economics, Vice-Chancellor of Germany Robert Habek on a general inspection of heating systems to save energy could cost the country’s government €10 billion, the newspaper Die Welt writes.
According to Habek’s idea, measures to save energy in heating will be implemented in two stages. At the first stage, a special commission must check whether the existing heating devices comply with the new energy consumption standards. And in the second, devices that do not meet the requirements must be modified for more economical operation.
According to the calculations of the Ministry of Economy, the German government will need a total of about €10 billion to test and modify devices. Of this amount, 8.4 billion is planned to be returned within two years due to the savings received.
