In Japan, the West was convicted of “green” hypocrisy
MOSCOW, 12 Sep — PRIME. Developing countries are in trouble because of the “green” agenda of the West, which began to actively purchase fossil resources with the onset of the crisis, says Taishi Sugiyama, chief researcher at the Japanese think tank Canon Institute for Global Studies, in an article for the Sankei Shimbun.
The author states that “cornered” by anti-Russian sanctions, Europe now “imports coal from all over the world, including South Africa, Botswana, Colombia and the USA. It buys large volumes of liquefied natural gas from the USA. Such “explosive” purchases of traditional fuel exacerbated the energy crisis around the world.”
Because of this, according to Sugiyama, countries in other parts of the world are also concerned about the extraction of fossil fuels. Some countries can solve this problem, but the poor states, as the analyst emphasizes, are experiencing serious difficulties.
Sugiyama caught the West in hypocrisy, because it was the West that advertised “decarbonization” and immediately returned to fossil fuels with the onset of the crisis.
“Unfortunately, Japan also contributes to this hypocrisy,” the analyst said.
