There are countless instructions for rooting Android, but what does “root” or “root access” actually mean? Android is an open source system and is based on the open source Linux kernel. Through the root it is then possible to install a system-wide equalizer, adjust navigation in the menus or increase the maximum volume. You can also uninstall pre-installed apps from your Android smartphone via root access if you don’t need them. In principle, Android is an open system, which means that the entire Android system can be replaced with a different version. The so-called custom ROMs are usually based on the “Android Open Source Project” and have many cool gadgets and features that are not provided by the standard operating system. Be it faster speed, longer battery life or innovative user interfaces. There are many new features to take advantage of after rooting Android. How to root Android via ADB

If you haven’t found a working TWRP recovey for your device or you don’t want to install one for whatever reason, then this method may come in handy. For this to work, you will need the stock boot.img file of the same version currently installed on your device. You can extract the same from your device’s stock firmware. Just make sure there are no mismatched versions. Otherwise, the phone will hang in bootloop.

Install Magisk Manager APK on your device. Open it and tap Install next to the keyword “Magisk is not installed”. Tap on again Install in the next pop-up. Now touch Select and patch a file. Select the boot.img file and wait for Magisk to update it. Connect your device to PC via USB cable. Go to the folder Download to internal memory, copy the file magic_patched.img and transfer it to the platform-tools folder on your PC. This file is required to root Android. Now, write cmd in the platform-tools address bar and press Enter. This will open the Windows Command Prompt window. Enter the following code to boot the device via TWRP or bootloader: adb reboot bootloader.

Your device should now boot into ADB mode. Run the following command to flash this patched boot image to your device: fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img. It should be properly installed on your device in seconds. Now you can reboot your device via the power key or the following command: fastboot reboot. That’s all. You have now successfully rooted your Android phone via TWRP Recovery. Now go ahead and immerse yourself in the mod community and give your device a whole new makeover.
